I have a friend that is 81 years old, she had a sister from the Cleveland Ohio area that had a red/burgundy velvet tufted loveseat with fringe on the bottom, that the sister claimed was given tio her years ago because it was in the movie Gone With The Wind. Just wondering if you have ever seen matching pieces
that might be companions to this love seat. The older sister passed away 2 years ago at the age of 90.
The only information on the bottom of the settee was an Upholsteres International Union label date 1938, which would have put it in the correct time frame of the movie. Any other clues I should be aware of? I’ve watched the movie countless times and have only seen 1 frame with a chair that also has fringe on the bottom. Do you know of anyone who collected furniture from the movie as opposed to all those who collected movie posters, stills, etc? Thank you for your attention to this matter.
