Although the following video is actually quite dated (December, 2009), I just recently stumbled upon it and thought the prop community might be interested in the content nonetheless.
The video features former NCIS prop master George Tuers, and goes into some pretty great detail about the show, the props and the importance of the little effects. Perhaps most interesting is the part about real (as opposed to fake, obviously) weapons and how some knifes are permitted for the Hollywood filming industry only.
