eBay Prop Watch: Wraith Drone Stunt Mask from Stargate Atlantis

eBay Prop-Watch is a regular examination of eBay in search of some unique, rare and otherwise interesting movie or television props, wardrobe and memorabilia. The Prop Blog has no affiliation with the sellers, the props or eBay and cannot verify a props authenticity. Based on item descriptions, products may be a hero, stunt version, double, back-up or replica. Additionally, in some cases, the item may turn out to be a fake. Bid and purchase at your own discretion.

With Propworx’s live Stargate auction rapidly approaching, I thought it might be a good time to examine some of the pieces they currently have available on their eBay store, beginning with an impressive Wraith Drone stunt mask from Stargate Atlantis.

Introduced in the pilot episode of Stargate Atlantis, the Wraith Drone was seen in all five seasons of the show and is easily one of the most recognizable characters. The attire worn by said drone is extremely unique and visually interesting, but it is the mask itself that really stands out above the rest.

According to the description, this mask was made with “latex rubber designed to simulate bone, painted green, white, and brown with white elastic head strap, has tearing around two bone outcroppings on the front.”

No size information is available/listed.

Currently at a low price of only $1.29 ($20.00 for shipping & handling) with six days to go, it’s an extremely affordable piece for any collector or fan of Stargate. So whether you’re a long-time collector or just getting into the hobby, this piece may be something you would want to look into.

As you might expect, this piece also comes with the ever-important Certificate of Authenticity.

Below is a video, shot by Propworx, detailing not only a Wraith Drone mask, but the entire costume worn by the drone(s) throughout the series.

Happy bidding, collectors.
